Text Your GPS Location
If you are stranded on a highway, rural road or somewhere without an obvious address, use this tool to make your location easier to communicate.
Stranded? Text your GPS location
Tap below and allow location access. Your phone will open a text to KJ Roadside Services containing your coordinates and a Google Maps link. You review it before sending.
How the GPS Text Feature Works
After you tap the button, your browser asks for location permission. If approved, the site uses the coordinates on your device to create a text to 403-606-5279 containing latitude, longitude and a Google Maps link. The website does not send the message itself.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the website automatically send my location?
No. It opens your phone's text-message app with a pre-filled message. You review it and press Send.
Why does my phone ask for location permission?
Your browser requires permission before a website can access GPS coordinates.
What if GPS does not work?
Call or text KJ Roadside Services and describe your highway, direction of travel, nearest exit, intersection or landmark.
